THE Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) unveiled a revamped website with improved features and social media integration. The goal of the new website is to improve accessibility and public engagement.
According to the ministry of communicationsthe new platform offers comprehensive information on regulations, policies and trends in the telecom and broadcasting sector in India.
“The website offers comprehensive information on telecom and broadcasting regulations, policies, laws, statistics and trends in India. These resources are easily accessible to the public, stakeholders, researchers and the international public,” he adds.

The redesigned website introduces several new features:

  • Introduction of a new dashboard for the Telecom & Broadcasting sector.
  • Providing data download for research.
  • A Grid View feature, allowing users to view data in a new interactive format.
  • In addition to sharing via email, users can now share documents directly through major social media platforms, viewing links on Instagram, Youtube, Linkedin, Whatsapp, Facebook, X, etc.
  • Online registration for subscription to latest versions and updates of TRAI.
  • Brief profile of the Authority.
  • The new website is compatible with iOS, Android and various platforms.
  • A blog with the possibility of comments for registered users.
  • Provision to post information about upcoming events.
  • Online registration to participate in the open house discussions.
  • Compliance with accessibility features.
  • Calls for tenders and notices
  • Regulations concise and compiled in one place with changes noted in footnotes.

The new website is hosted on NIC Cloud and is compatible with various platforms, including iPhones and Android. The old website will remain accessible for three months to ensure a smooth transition.
TRAI believes that these improvements will improve transparency.
“These new features aim to improve transparency, accessibility and public engagement in TRAI’s regulatory initiatives in the telecommunications and broadcasting sector,” it adds.
