The health bosses testify to the Tynwald Committee

Health patterns insist that the relationship between Manx care and the Ministry of Health and Social Coins is “not broken”.

The Public Accounts Committee has taken evidence this week with the CEO of Manx Care, Teresa Cope, the finance director Jackie Lawless and the improvement directors Shaun Stacey and Pete Shanahan; Alongside the Minister of DHSC, Claire Christian, chief officer Paul Richardson and the executive director of Sam McCauley policy and strategy.

The Minister of Health told the Committee that better communication was necessary between the two organizations in the future.

He was asked if the relationship between his department and Manx Care works “as designed” and how it could change in the future:

Meanwhile, the chief officer of the department, Paul Richardson, said that the two bodies “work on the same side”.
