Spurs do not abandon ‘on the central defender of the stars, because the summer offer has the best chance of success

The former scout of Tottenham Mick Brown believes that the Spurs “do not give up” to try to pass Marc Guehi through the door, because he explained why a summer offer has a better chances of success than their approach in January .

The Spurs made a last step of step to sign the defender of Crystal Palace Guehi in January. They had already signed Kevin Danso on an initial loan, but had been refused by Fikayo Tomori and Axel Disasi, and saw Radu Dragusin sidelined to probably the rest of the season.

The palace rejected the end of the offer, but Fabrizio Romano said Interest would run in the summer.

Support this, former Tottenham Scout Brown believes that the club will be back at the time, and Palace is more likely to accept the timing.

“I expect them to revisit this offer in summer, they do not give up,” said Brown Football initiate.

“Guehi is a sought after man, Newcastle wanted him last summer and now Tottenham is looking for him. Tottenham needs a central defender and he is the ideal option there.

“It is as stable as at the rear, he is a regular starter for England now, and he can sometimes go under the radar at Crystal Palace. He plays a solid level every week and is always impressive, so some clubs have watched him.

“Palace rejected their offer not because of the costs, but because of the moment, what I completely understand is a perfectly reasonable position to adopt.

“But in summer, it could change, and I think Tottenham will come back with a new offer.”

“I thought it would be an excellent signature as regards, I would change the shape of Tottenham if they signed Guehi and that I played the three central defenders with two wider boys,” said McCoist.

“And it would probably have adapted angel in his way of playing.”

This would be based on the hope that three central defenders were all fit at the same time. Micky Van de Ven and Cristian Romero are the favorite starters, but the two have missed a large part of this season.
