Freeport police respond to the shots fired in an alleged gang activity

Freeport, ill. (WIFR) – The Freeport police service responded to an alert of blows from Bloc 800 on Avenue S. Blackhawk at 4:10 pm on February 10.

Upon arrival at the scene, the authorities say they have found evidence that a firearm had been released. Some buildings in the region are damaged by projectiles, according to the police. No injury has been reported.

A witness to the scene told the police that he had seen a Chevrolet White Malibu driving on Avenue S. Blackhawk when the passenger headquarters began to shoot.

Police think this incident is linked to a gang and can be linked to January 17, 2025 shot This occurred in block 1200 on Avenue S. Oak.
