THE Dream tune is a PCVR headset, and borrows many components from the previously announced headset Crystal Superincluding micro-OLED panels and pancake lenses, but integrates them into a small form factor headset, to satisfy different use cases. It breaks away from previous Pimax headsets, with a new design language, signaling the small form factor era for Pimax.

Main features:

  • Integrated Eye-Tracking and Auto-IPD: ensure optimal clarity and interaction.

  • Indoor-Outdoor Tracking: Powered by Pimax’s proprietary SLAM algorithm for seamless setup without base stations.

  • Ringless Controllers and Hand Tracking: Improves usability for gaming and other VR applications.

  • Spatial audio and lightweight design: Delivers premium sound and a form factor that weighs less than half a bottle of Coca-Cola.

  • DisplayPort Type-C Cable: Ensures uncompressed visuals with ultra-lightweight cabling.

  • Future-ready: Compatible with modular accessories such as prescription lenses and a Lighthouse faceplate for users who prefer external tracking systems.

Innovate in all use cases
Pimax recognizes the diverse needs of virtual reality users. While the Crystal Super excels as the ultimate PCVR headset for seated simulation experiences like flying and racing, the Dream Air is designed for active VR users. Its portability and lightweight design are suitable for applications such as VRChat, room-scale virtual reality, and on-the-go entertainment.

Extending virtual reality beyond the PC
Pimax is also developing Cobb, a standalone device powered by a Snapdragon XR2 chip and battery. Cobb allows the Dream Air to operate independently for streaming movies, running light apps, or gaming, providing even greater versatility.
