We will insist on the fact that the powers of the Georgian delegation in Pace are fully disputed

MP Yevhenia Kravchuk said that the Ukrainian delegation has the Pace Insigne that the powers of the Georgian delegation in the Assembly are fully disputed.

She said that to a Ukrinform correspondent on the first day of the winter session Pace in Strasbourg.

“The position of the Ukrainian delegation is very clear. (The powers of the Georgian delegation) must be fully challenged. We will insist on the changes, by communication with the journalist on this question, that the Assembly takes an honest position and will not make the eyes, “said Yevhenia Kravchuk.

At the same time, there is a risk that certain members of the PACE would like to mitigate the decision on the Georgian delegation, said the deputy.

“There is an opinion that deputies should not completely restrict all powers, but give the Georgians some time before April. Such a partial ratification will give the green light to the Ivanishvili regime. This is what representatives of organizations of Georgian civil society and opposition politicians who came to the Assembly to participate in meetings of various political groups tell us, “said the deputy.

According to her, the decision to partially restrict the powers will show the weakness of the Council of Europe and to allow propaganda on the canals of the Georgian dream party in the power to manipulate public opinion.

“Consequently, it now depends on the text of the resolution, the wording that the chairman of the supervisory committee, the Latvian deputy Zanda Kalniņa-Lukaševica, will be used to plead for all human rights violations, the blows, the Pressure on the media and other crimes of the authorities, “added Kravchuk.

As a reminder, the PACE session will decide this issue on Wednesday.

As Ukrinform reported, on the day of the opening of the Winter Pace Pace session, the skills titles of the Georgian delegation were disputed. On Wednesday, after the committees concerned provided their conclusions, the Assembly cannot ratify the identification information or partially ratify it.
